「半落ち」
おそまきながら横山秀夫の「半落ち」を読みました。
チーフがこの作家のほかの小説を貸してくれて、読んでいましたが、
これは今までのものより、最後まで興味深深で読めました。
いつも、ちょっと読んだだけでネタがわかってしまう感じなのですが
この小説は、主人公にどんな秘密があるのかが、最後まで想像がつかず
大変おもしろく読めました。
最後に登場する看守と主人公とのやりとりに、深く心を揺さぶられました。
看守・検事・弁護士・・・主人公をとりまく男たちの立場を超えた熱い思いに
不覚にも、滂沱の涙を流してしまったのでした。
